My Basket Case

Since I loved my last Cluck Cluck Sew pattern so much I brought her "Basket Case". I have a number of jelly rolls lying about, waiting for the perfect pattern. It came down to my Flirt roll or the Nicey Jane roll. I don't know why but I just couldn't cut into the Nicey Jane one, silly I know, so Flirt it is.

I love the bright happy colouring and since spring is knocking on the door it felt  right.

Last night I diligently cut the approx 270 2.5 inch squares needed.

And a pair of the strips. I think I am going to make it two blocks at a time, limit myself to making them each day and then doing some thing else. You know, house work, cooking and other non quilting stuff.

Yes, I think this will another winner. I know the teal and red is very popular on the net and to some, they might be a bit over it, but a great colour combo will always be a great colour combo and I like this. Plus it seems fitting working on Flirt as it is own wedding anniversary today. Nine years, whew!!!!

Plus our section had a big digger on it today so we have officially started our building project.

All and all, today is a brilliant day

  2. Love your fabric choices for this! I made a basket case quilt a year or so ago and enjoyed it, great pattern. I donated that one and now you've got me thinking about another...hm. Anyway, have fun -- and happy anniversary!
